Assistant Nursing Director (RN) – Pediatrics/PICU at MedStar Health. This leadership role combines frontline clinical work with management responsibilities in the Pediatric Transplant and General Pediatrics/Pediatric Intensive Care Units. Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate nursing and patient care delivery for the unit-based professional and support personnel. Ensure holistic, culturally competent, quality, safe, and cost-effective evidence-based nursing care. Apply the nursing process within the organization's shared decision-making framework. Coordinate patient transitions across the continuum of care to achieve optimal health outcomes. Assume administrative and leadership authority 24/7 for the assigned unit/department. Foster commitment to quality, safety, and cost-conscious care; maintain adherence to regulatory standards and MedStar Health policies. BSN from an accredited School of Nursing required; Master\'s degree in Nursing or a health-related field from a nationally accredited program preferred. 3-4 years progressive RN experience, including at least 2 years Pediatric ICU nursing; CRRT experience preferred. Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required. Specialty certification from a nationally recognized nursing organization in either a clinical specialty or Nursing Administration preferred. This position has a hiring range of $100,588.00 - $190,340.00 Seniority level
