Travel RN LTAC Abilene TX – Vibra Healthcare
Position Summary Develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care for assigned patients and families, promoting the mission and values of Vibra Travels. The role includes direct nursing care, delegation, and supervision of nursing staff in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Key responsibilities involve demonstrating clinical competence, managing patient care, improving quality, establishing professional relationships, and developing clinical expertise per specialty.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care and supervise Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Nursing Aides, and Techs.
Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients in LTAC settings.
Delegate and supervise nursing staff in accordance with applicable regulations.
Manage patient assessments, interventions, and documentation in the electronic health record.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, state regulations, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Registered Nurse; acute care experience required, LTAC experience preferred.
ICU, Med‑Surg, and Telemetry experience strongly preferred.
Current, valid, and active RN license in the state of employment.
Current, valid driver’s license and ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation.
Current BLS and ACLS certification from a Vibra Travels‑approved vendor (AHA preferred).
Additional certifications may be required by clients.
Location Saddle up for your next travel assignment in Abilene, Texas. The city offers a mix of western heritage and modern charm, with museums, rodeos, breweries, and easy access to Dallas and Austin.
