Travel Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) – Echo/Vascular

Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
Minimum one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
Preferred Qualifications
Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification (ARDMS)
Current ARRT certification in Sonography
Current credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
Summary The Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) – Echo/Vascular uses high‑frequency sound waves to generate images of patients' internal organs and blood vessels. They prepare patients for examinations, perform scans, and analyze sonograms for diagnostic purposes, requiring advanced technical skills and patient‑centered care.
Essential Work Functions
Demonstrate an understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient care plans
Prepare and position patients to ensure accurate imaging and prioritize safety and comfort
Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations of general and vascular studies
Evaluate images for clarity and accuracy
Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to ensure functionality and safety compliance
Apply technical expertise and critical thinking to perform sonographic procedures effectively
Work efficiently in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments while maintaining professionalism
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication
English reading, writing, and communication proficiency
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, and PC competency
Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
Interpersonal ability to work with diverse personnel and maintain professionalism
Technical/motor proficiency for fine manipulation during procedures
Mental stamina to handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication
