Job Summary
Behavioral Health Therapist
– Southeast Behavioral Health Clinic, Fargo, ND – Downtown Engagement Team. We offer a sign‑on bonus of up to $15,000. This is a vital role in meeting North Dakota’s behavioral health crisis by ensuring that vulnerable individuals receive high‑quality, preventive care and effective treatment. You will provide outreach, engagement and crisis services to persons experiencing or at risk of homelessness, coordinating with a multi‑disciplinary team to assess needs, design service plans, conduct crisis interventions, risk assessments, and secure referrals.
Responsibilities
Identify and engage individuals with behavioral health disorders who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and develop individual service plans.
Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment services.
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and keep service recommendations updated.
Conduct outreach and community linkage activities, including travel to client locations.
Leverage contacts and referral partners to facilitate access to needed services.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field endorsed by the North Dakota Board of Counseling Examiners.
Valid North Dakota licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, LMFT (Marriage & Family Therapy Board), or Licensed Psychologist.
Or a Doctorate in Psychology with ND licensure as a psychologist.
For Human Relations Counselor candidates: master’s in Counseling with LAPC licensure, within two years of LPCC licensure.
Valid driver’s license and completion of a defensive‑driving course during orientation.
