Overview
CT/Radiology Technologist FT/PRN at Altus Community Healthcare. Performs radiologic procedures (CT and X-ray) using ionizing radiation with computerized CR or DR processing, delivering quality patient care and technical skills for diagnostic and evaluation purposes. $4,000 sign-on bonus Responsibilities
Perform routine and complex CT and X-ray procedures using DR/CR imaging systems. Process images and patient information through RIS and PACS, or other electronic workflows. Explain procedures to patients and position them appropriately. Set and adjust technical factors for DR and CR processing. Ensure sterile supplies and contrast materials are readily available; prepare radiology room for procedures. Prepare and administer contrast material (oral, IV, or enema) as directed by a radiologist. Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent plus graduation from an approved education program in radiologic technology. Experience:
Preferred: 2 years as a Radiologic Technologist. Licensure/Certification:
ARRT registration; Texas Department of State Health Services Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist license; current BLS (CPR) certification. Work Conditions
Ability to move quickly in response to physician and patient needs. Ability to stand for long periods; occasional overhead and low reaching. Ability to exert force up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly. Other physical requirements as needed to perform CT and X-ray procedures. Occupational Exposure
Patient care environment with Category 1 exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, and/or high energy magnetic fields.
