Hours & Schedule
Per Diem Position: Ship Bottom location open May (Memorial Day weekend) through September.
Ship Bottom Hours: Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday – Sunday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Must be flexible to fill in when needed and may float to other offices (Forked River, Toms River, Brick, Jackson).
Other locations (Forked River, Toms River, Brick, Jackson): Monday – Sunday 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. alternating holidays and weekends.
Responsibilities
Communication: Explains procedures to patients to inform and alleviate potential anxiety, relaying information clearly and accurately in charts.
Compliance: Consistently complies with CLIA, OSHA, and other state/government regulatory standards/requirements and agencies; refers regularly to the POL Policy Manual.
Customer Service: Greets patients and visitors promptly, courteously, and helpfully, ensuring full patient satisfaction.
Documentation: Reviews chart before patient intake, completes all required documentation accurately, legibly, timely, and signs/dates charts.
Equipment Maintenance: Demonstrates troubleshooting, performs scheduled cleanings/tests, documents results, and acts quickly to ensure equipment functions properly.
Financial Responsibilities: Performs x‑rays minimizing costly errors or need for additional supplies; ensures timely equipment servicing.
Inventory Management: Monitors work area and supply inventory; notifies Practice Manager of low supplies; assists with unpacking, storing, and distribution of supplies upon delivery.
Patient Satisfaction: Promotes satisfaction by providing excellent service, communicating potential issues to the practice manager, and staying informed on performance metrics.
Post Scan Procedures: Develops acceptable-quality films with minimum retakes, completes proper forms, documents findings for physician review, enters all required info into the database, and prints/distributes reports as per policy.
Pre‑Procedure Responsibilities: Obtains required demographic info, verifies insurance coverage, completes pertinent patient history, and accurately records data into the medical record or radiology equipment.
Radiology Procedures: Verifies patient identity by asking name and date of birth, compares to physician order; assists patient on/off the x‑ray table and assesses environment for safety concerns.
May be involved in rooming patients, including taking vitals and documentation in EPIC.
Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications
High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
Completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Licenses & Certifications Required
NJ Registered Radiologic Technologist License.
Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate or AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
Licenses & Certifications Preferred
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification.
Compensation Minimum rate of $32.92 hourly. The posted rate of pay is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market‑competitive total rewards package.
