As a Certified Surgical Tech First Assist (CSTFA) at Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center, you will prepare the surgical suite, assist during operations, and collaborate with a highly skilled team that values each member’s expertise. Hourly Pay Hourly wage estimate: $34.64 – $51.95 / hr
Responsibilities
Setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment to ensure safe, seamless procedures
Assisting with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety
Scrubbing in and partnering with the surgical team by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the team’s needs
Monitoring patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, responding promptly and effectively to any concerns
Upholding sterile technique, completing room turnover efficiently, and supporting a high‑performing, collaborative team environment
Qualifications
Completion of a CAAHEP accredited program
Minimum of five years certified surgical tech strongly preferred; 10 years’ experience preferred
Active participant on the robotic surgery team within the facility, with a minimum of 20+ cases and relevant education through DaVinci robotic program
Eligible candidates with less experience will be considered with high level previous experience in surgical cases such as total joint (hip and knees), orthopedic sports medicine, ortho and neuro spine, crani, bowel resection and GYN open and laparoscopic services
CSFA – NBSTSA certification for Certified Surgical First Assist
CST – AST certified surgical technician
BLS certification
