Justice Resource Institute . Are you looking to use your Master’s degree to help youth live their best lives? Do you want to support families to find stability and compassion in their care? This position involves a dedicated, in-home and community-based FIT service delivered by a multidisciplinary team to youth with serious emotional disturbance (SED). The goal is to improve the youth’s mental health, strengthen family structure and support, and maintain a consistent, strength-based therapeutic relationship with families. Part-time and fee-for-service positions are available, with the opportunity for full time. JRI provides the training so you can deliver evidence-based interventions and develop your licensure hours. Location: Martha\'s Vineyard, MA (in-home and community settings).

Responsibilities

You will provide intensive family therapy, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and assessments. You will design and deliver focused, strategic, evidence-based interventions and behavioral techniques to build skills, safety planning, strengthen family dynamics, and may prevent the need for the youth’s admission to an inpatient hospital, psychiatric residential treatment facility, or other treatment setting. You will serve as a vital member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team that works together to find the best and most effective methods of guiding and supporting youth and their families. You will use your skills to develop a structured, consistent, strength-based therapeutic relationship with the youth and families you work with in order to help improve the youth’s behavioral health needs, including improving the family’s ability to provide effective support for the youth to promote their healthy functioning within the family. You will use your passion to provide culturally competent, trauma-informed, confidential clinical services to guide care for the youth at the center of your care. You will provide consultation to collaterals including schools and medical service providers to help the youth you serve navigate their lives with more support.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Master’s degree or above in the mental health field, must be licensed OR working towards your license and license eligible (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC or LMFT). JRI will support you in gaining your licensure hours and testing. Proven ability to form therapeutic relationships with people from various backgrounds including different racial, ethnic, linguistic, religious and sexual orientation identities. Must have daily access to a reliable, insured vehicle and active Driver’s License. Must be willing to maintain a flexible work schedule and participate in an on-call schedule. Knowledge of or ability to learn electronic medical record software and basic computer functions including the Microsoft Suite. Clinical experience with children/adolescents is required; familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment preferred. Experience with community mental health programs or providing family therapy preferred but not required. Background and driving record checks will be performed.

We offer a $2,000 bilingual bonus to new hires who speak a second language other than English.
