RN Surgery - Vascular, Weekender Flex

Cleveland Clinic . This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Weekender Flex Program and will require you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week. Weekend shift options start at 7:00pm on Fridays and end at 7:30am on Mondays. While you are only working 36 hours a week, Cleveland Clinic will pay you for 44 hours of work and give you full-time status and benefits. Whether you are an experienced RN or a new graduate, all nurses entering an OR specialty unit participate in a comprehensive orientation program to ensure a smooth transition into the surgical environment. The Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures. Perform scrub and circulating functions. Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Minimum qualifications
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross – If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it within six months of hire One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
Physical requirements
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures
