Certified Industrial Hygienist

Carry out a broad range of industrial hygiene assessments, including air monitoring for chemical exposures, noise evaluations, and indoor air quality (IAQ) testing. Develop and implement EHS/IH programs such as written plans, employee training, and emergency procedures. Prepare clear and detailed reports summarizing methods, results, and recommendations for both clients and regulatory agencies. Conduct site audits, safety inspections, and process reviews to identify potential risks before they become issues. Oversee and support remediation and abatement projects involving asbestos, lead, mold, and other hazardous materials. Assist with proposal development and cost estimates to support new project opportunities. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Current CIH credential required. 5-7 years of professional industrial hygiene or EHS experience, ideally in consulting or a similar fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of OSHA standards as well as NYS and NYC EHS requirements. Strong writing ability, effective verbal communication, solid data analysis, and critical thinking skills. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites within the NYC/NYS metro region. Ability to perform fieldwork that includes walking for extended periods, working in various site conditions, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. CSP or CHMM certification. About WSP
