Evaluating medical orders and interpreting clinical data to guide treatment Operating and adjusting ventilators, oxygen therapy systems, and aerosol delivery devices Monitoring patient responses and performing diagnostic tests Assisting with emergency situations and transporting ventilated patients Educating patients and mentoring students or new staff Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring equipment safety Why UPMC Cole?

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (CoARC approved) or student with temporary license (HR approval and official transcripts) Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification that includes classroom and hands-on training Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT) credential from the NBRC or eligibility to obtain If CRTT earned after July 1, 2002, must maintain certification per NBRC requirements RRTs and CRTs will be considered; placement will be based on experience, education, and certifications Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances
CPR/BLS per AHA standards with didactic and skills demonstration within 30 days of hire CRTT Osteopathic Respiratory Care or Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP) Act 33 with renewal Act 34 with renewal Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal Employment type
