Join UF Health as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the outpatient Medical Oncology Clinic HOPD. This role focuses on delivering direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), supporting clinic operations, and contributing to excellent patient outcomes.
Overview The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a clinical staff position at the outpatient Medical Oncology Clinic HOPD, with emphasis on the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LPN provides clinic‑related nursing care and nursing support to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care and nursing's vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice committed to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration.
Qualifications
Graduation from an approved practical nursing program.
Current valid licensed practical nurse (LPN) license.
Demonstrates willingness and ability to maintain clinical competency as required by department.
One year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred.
IV certification required or ability to obtain.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation (Required) Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose. A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile at least once daily, at least five individual trips per week, or drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form when submitting the RFP to post the position.
