Electrical/Mechanical Assembly Technician
Leidos Defense Systems Manufacturing Segment is seeking a qualified Electrical/Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our National Space Systems Integration & Test team located in Huntsville, AL.

Primary Responsibilities
Use electro‑mechanical assembly tools (torque drivers, crimpers, strippers) and apply proper techniques to assemble components.
Read mechanical assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and other manufacturing documentation.
Work with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and technicians to develop build strategies and identify potential assembly issues.
Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, operations leads, and inventory control teams.
Expedite jobs as required and clear material shortages.
Manage ISO9001/AS9100 processes within the department.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED with 1–3 years of electrical/mechanical assembly experience.
Knowledge of specialized tools and equipment used during assembly.
Ability to read drawings or basic knowledge of schematics.
Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL.
U.S. Citizen with or able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (Final Secret Clearance).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with test operations, including setup, calibration, and operation of GSE in production.
Experience with manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test processes, procedure development, and implementation.
Hands‑on experience with electronics assembly processes and equipment (mechanical assembly, epoxy dispensing, curing, component/assembly test).
Experience working inside a clean room.
Knowledge of Costpoint ERP & MRP, Solumina.
Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 processes.
