Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40. What You Will Do
Under minimal supervision, perform varied and complex tasks within the assigned cell, disassemble, clean, inspect, assemble and final prep at least 80% of components within the shop (Accessories); resolve most questions and problems, may serve as a resource on several topics, and refer only the most complex issues to higher levels. Actively participate in CORE continuous improvement and environmental, health and safety activities. Remain informed of and understand CSL and TAT goals for the team. Work in close cooperation with supervision and other support personnel to resolve problems as necessary. As a certified trainer, be responsible for training employees on 80% of the product line in the facility. Participate in projects relating to business objectives. Utilize SAP to enter and retrieve information to perform daily activities. Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain a neat and orderly work area. Work to specifications and use all required equipment to perform assigned work according to FAA and company regulations. Interface with customers (government or auditors) as necessary. Inspect and disposition components and modules; perform rework/repair, scrap and replace/order components, modules and LRUs as required. Assemble, disassemble, perform minor cleaning, inspect, troubleshoot and test all types of manufactured electric power and/or accessory components as required. Check clearances, tolerances and alignment; make necessary replacements and adjustments to ensure conformance to manufacturer specifications/configurations. For all electronic components, controls and accessories, record data to accept or reject criteria to approved maintenance data; make changes and repairs as required; provide proper parts identification such as part number and serialization. Verify electrical continuity, insulation resistance testing, and dielectric testing of electromechanical devices. Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm; Monday to Friday. Must be able to utilize SAP to input and retrieve information. Strong troubleshooting knowledge down to component level using measuring gauges and test equipment. Must be able to follow through on job assignments independently. Must be able to work and train employees on 80% of product in the facility. Must be able to lead, co-lead, and implement projects relating to business objectives. Must demonstrate ethical work habits and have good listening and communication skills. Must have analytical skills to identify root causes of problems and provide potential solutions. Must have good business judgment and be able to develop talent by actively sharing information and training others. Must be a team player, customer-focused, and adaptable to high pressure and rapidly changing conditions. Must be able to read, write and speak English and comprehend technical data. Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., GED) or vocational/technical education with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Mechanic or Repair Station Certificate required per 14 CFR Part 65. Qualifications We Prefer
AA/AS degree preferred; Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post-high school training (two years duration). Minimum 5 years of work experience in the aviation industry; unsupervised assembly/disassembly for all products and functions in Accessories, Avionics, and Electric Power Shop. A&P license, FCC, military technical education/training; journeyman license a plus but not required. What We Offer
