Maintenance Reliability Engineer Location:

Newport, Arkansas

The Maintenance Reliability Engineer works closely with the Maintenance and Reliability Engineers to implement tactical and strategic maintenance and reliability strategies for plant equipment, maintenance practices, and equipment commissioning. When equipment fails, the Engineer analyzes failures, isolates failure modes, and ensures time‑sensitive issues are addressed promptly. The Engineer coordinates and implements proactive maintenance practices that are forward‑looking and continuously improve processes that efficiently produce high‑quality snack food products.

Responsibilities

Day‑to‑day application of maintenance and reliability best practices to address immediate plant needs.

Root Cause Failure Analysis, Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis, MRO/Storeroom Analysis, Asset Criticality Analysis, CMMS Asset Management, and Work Management Process implementation.

Develop, implement, and optimize maintenance and reliability processes.

Technical accuracy of job plans and verification of BOM updates after equipment modifications.

Assist Reliability Engineer with failure data collection, analysis, and MTTR optimization.

Develop equipment modification plans based on failure data and craft OEM design modifications.

Recommend equipment improvements to enhance performance, maintainability, and reliability.

Create standard parts plans and work with stores to delete unnecessary spares.

Maintain current OEM specifications, manuals, and procedures for plant assets.

Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis for chronic failures and assist with FMECA and asset criticality analysis.

Support Design for Reliability standards and early project management for new equipment centers and capital projects.

Mentor technicians on reliability maintenance tools and principles and lead training needs for new or modified equipment.

Perform and support real‑time monitoring, oil/fluid analysis, vibration, and thermal imaging to evaluate production processes.

Respond to equipment failures, troubleshooting breakdowns, and emergency repairs.

Qualifications

4‑year degree preferred (or 2‑year technical degree) in mechanical, chemical, electrical engineering, or related field.

3+ years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing; food production experience preferred.

Experience as a Maintenance Planner or Supervisor in an industrial environment.

Knowledge of PdM technologies, reliability best practices, and maintenance work cycles.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem‑solving skills; ability to manage projects and work cross‑functionally.

Proficiency in using CMMS, root cause analysis, and FMECA tools.
