Responsibilities
Perform hands‑on manufacturing of composite rocket cases, including tooling assembly/disassembly, case surface preparation, winding composite equipment operation, maintaining cleanliness, and other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Contribute to safety, quality, cost, and schedule improvement.
Work Hours Weekday night shift (12‑hour shifts) with overtime as required. Shift work includes weekends and holidays.
Requirements
Willingness to perform shift work and overtime, including weekends and holidays.
Valid state driver’s license.
Experience handling hazardous waste materials.
Ability to understand and apply stringent procedures.
Safe handling of equipment and materials in a manufacturing environment.
Operating industrial equipment such as bridge cranes, forklifts, precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
Ability to read blueprints.
Monitor and verify quality using statistical process control and design specifications.
Skills & Qualifications
Physically capable of standing for long periods, working from knees, ascending/descending ladders, lifting, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs., while wearing protective equipment.
Follow written instructions without deviation.
Basic math and measurement functions.
Willingness to perform shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Ability to start and end helicals and hoops in the carbon winding process.
Monitor machinery to ensure winding per planning and procedures.
Weigh material for mixing process.
Work with resins and carbon fiber.
Work with chemical cleaning processes such as industrial degreasers.
Use aluminum oxide cloth.
Basic Qualifications Level 1: High School Diploma or GED; 0–1 year manufacturing experience.
Level 2: High School Diploma or GED; 2 years related composite or mechanical work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree or technical certificate related to composite material.

Salary Range Primary Level: $36,300.00 – $60,500.00; Secondary Level: $43,100.00 – $71,900.00.
