Job Title & Location Bridge Engineer (3–5 years) – Spokane, WA. Primary marketplace includes Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, with other potential opportunities across the United States.

Job Description The successful candidate will be independent, self‑motivated, energetic team player who is looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic and progressive firm. This position will assist in managing, designing, and detailing bridge projects of a variety of sizes and complexity. The candidate will network with clients of a diverse culture of private, local, state, and federal agencies. The work is predominantly office based, with some field work required at times. Field work may include working at heights, confined spaces, near highway vehicle traffic, and using aerial lift platforms.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing, designing, and detailing bridge projects.

Network with diverse clients across private, local, state, and federal agencies.

Perform field work as required, ensuring safety procedures and equipment are used.

Qualifications

A four‑year degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with an emphasis in bridge engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited university.

Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering preferred.

Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.

3–5 years of experience with bridge design, seismic assessment, in‑service inspection, bridge load ratings, repairs, and rehabilitations.

Experience with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications and any Department of Transportation (WSDOT, ITD, ODOT) bridge design, bridge standard details, bridge design manuals or construction standards and protocols.

Experience with computer analysis software systems including AutoCAD, PGSuper, Risa 3D, MathCAD, SI Software (SAP, CSI Bridge) and Bluebeam Revu.

Strong technical and organizational skills.

NHI Bridge Inspection Certification preferred.

Experience working as part of a multi‑discipline design team preferred.

Experience as a project manager preferred.

Excellent leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.

Self‑motivated and eager to learn.

Salary and Benefits Expected Salary range: $78,000 – $89,000. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
