What You’ll Be Doing
Prepare proposal scope and schedule, providing deliverables, manhour estimates, and qualifications. Develop and maintain operating procedures, workflows, and QA/QC standards. Mentor, delegate, and train surveying and scanning team members to execute quality projects on schedule. Ability to travel to client sites to help make formal marketing or sales presentations to prospective clients. Conduct self professionally and with a genuine concern for the client’s expectations and benefit. Perform survey tasks including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, construction surveys, sub-surface utility surveys, benchmarking, and post-construction surveys. Provide construction staking for site layout, site design, facilities, structures, roadways, paving, grading, ditches, drainage features, industrial railroads, easement descriptions, Flood Elevation Certificates, etc. Implement building control, laser scanning capture and post-processing efforts. Support and/or perform initial surveying & field layout activities with robotic total stations to support field validation, quality control and quality assurance. Coordinate and oversee drone surveying, quantity/volume surveys. Perform construction building layout with robotic total stations to support field validation, quality control and quality assurance. Plan and perform layout set out and back-check tasks. Leverage appropriate set up procedures using a robotic total station including known backsight and multi-point resections. Assist in the development of construction drawings and record drawings. Work closely with project managers, design engineers, and CAD technicians to coordinate space configuration changes and other design changes. Perform in-process quality control of survey field activities and survey calculations. Prepare survey field notes and field sketches. Sign and seal surveys, maps, and survey related documents. Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) Proficient with operating GPS, robotic and total station survey equipment Demonstrated experience with survey data collection and data organization Experience with various LiDAR scanning equipment and software Demonstrated experience with importing survey data into AutoCAD Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D, and ArcGIS Pro Basic understanding of GIS datasets, geodatabases, and map layers Seniority level
