Industrial Insulator Responsibilities
Must be an experienced Industrial Insulator with 3 or more years of experience. Install temp mat and pads and install pipe covering and fittings (Calcium Silicate). Form sheet metal materials around pipes, ductwork and industrial equipment. Install insulation and fittings, pipe cover and board materials, such as perlite and calcium silicate. Install sheet metal around insulated pipes with screws/bands to protect the insulation from weather conditions or physical damage. Make flat sheet metal layouts of finished parts, such as sheet metal "square-to-round" transitions, offsets, flashing, tapered elbows, transitional elbows, and various fittings. Brush adhesives and mastic application to insulation material. Measure and cut metal material to size and shape for covering flat or round surfaces using hand tools and equipment to form, crimp, or roll metal in place. Perform work wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, fire resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs, and safety glasses. Maintain mobility and physical capability to perform tasks (reaching, standing, bending, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights). Other duties as assigned.
