Job Description
Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements. Perform cleanup duties. Handle materials and store them properly. Identify, use, and care for common hand and power tools. Use and maintain craft-specific tools and equipment. Apply craft-related mathematics. Follow safety standards and best practices relevant to rigging, inspect rigging equipment and hardware. Use common hitches, emergency stop signals, basic crane hand signals, knot tying (bowline & clove hitch), and rigging equipment relevant to craft-specific tasks. Perform procedures for using various slings in hitches and calculating sling stress. Utilize tools and equipment for lateral movement of loads without a crane. Inspect wire rope components, load blocks, and sheaves. Perform oxyfuel cutting operations. Fabricate and install gaskets. Identify and select pipe fittings. Perform material cutting operations. Make bolts, prepare and set up welds. Conduct layout and fabrication duties. Align structural and tube fit-up. Prepare base metals and perform preheat and post-weld heat treatments. Inspect vessels. Install valves and components. Fabricate and install pipe hangers and supports. Fabricate and install stairs, railings, grating, and decking. Review construction drawings and blueprints to determine work requirements. Cut and thread pipes manually. Read and interpret welding detail drawings. Perform boiler tube fabrication, preparation, and fitting. Conduct air carbon arc cutting and gouging. Job Requirements
