The Interventional Radiology Tech provides quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department and performs high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs. This role follows standards of safe radiation practice and demonstrates leadership abilities. The Tech is a role model for other associate technologists while also acting as a clinical resource to unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit. Schedule may include on‑call shifts.
Job Requirements
One year imaging experience strongly preferred
HS/GED required
Associate degree strongly preferred
Registered Technologist, Radiology, Vascular‑Interventional Radiology, or Cardiovascular‑Interventional Radiology – R.T. (R)(VI)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(CV)(ARRT) required
Colorado Surgical Assistant License upon hire unless performing Surgical Assistant duties within the scope of another active Colorado license, certification, or registration (required for Colorado employed staff only)
Basic Life Support through American Heart Association required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support through American Heart Association preferred
Physical Requirements Medium Work – exert up to 50 lb force occasionally, up to 20 lb frequently, or up to 10 lb constantly.
