Specific:
Perform
visual and dimensional inspections
on products from foil printing, die-cutting, and injection molding (IML) processes to ensure compliance with specifications and customer standards. Verify print quality
through color proofing and visual checks; must have the ability to distinguish colors accurately (color vision required). Measure components
using precision tools such as rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers to confirm dimensional accuracy. Identify, document, and report
non-conformities
or deviations in real time to prevent defective product release. Perform repetitive inspection tasks
with accuracy and consistency throughout the shift. Accurately complete all required documentation and inspection records in a timely manner. Follow and enforce all applicable
Safety Standards ,
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) ,
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) , and internal
quality system procedures . Apply knowledge of
SPC (Statistical Process Control) ,
SQF , and
HACCP
standards to evaluate and maintain product quality. Maintain familiarity with production processes, including
flexographic printing ,
die-cutting , and
injection molding with IML labels . Utilize computers for quality data entry and reporting; proficiency with
Windows OS
and
Microsoft Office programs
(Excel, Word, Outlook) required. Lift and move materials
weighing up to 40 pounds as needed during inspections or sampling. Maintain a clean and organized work area, complying with plant safety and hygiene standards. Demonstrate flexibility by adapting to
shift changes
or covering for fellow employees when needed. Understand and follow
company policies
and safety protocols at all times. Exhibit the ability to
work independently
with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accountability. Participate in cross-functional team support and
perform additional duties
as assigned by management in support of quality operations. Eventual: Perform
routine and scheduled evaluations
at multiple production stations, including Polytype, flexographic printing, die-cutting, and injection molding (IML), ensuring quality compliance throughout each process. Accept or reject
finished goods, raw materials, semi-finished products, or externally manufactured items based on inspection results, specification compliance, and visual evaluation. Document inspection results accurately, including
notations, deviations, and corrective actions , following established formats and protocols. Ensure
first-piece approval
is performed for all processes before releasing production runs. Understand process variability: while routine visitation is minimal,
frequent follow-up is required when quality concerns arise . Minimum Quality Check Frequencies: Polytype Printing:
Minimum once every 2 hours. Flexographic Printing:
At every roll change. Die Cutting:
Minimum once every 2 hours. Injection Molding (IML):
Minimum once every 2 hours. Complete daily shift reports
summarizing quality activities, issues, rejections, and actions taken. Log all inspection data in the designated systems or forms with clarity and accuracy. Participate in
first-article inspections
and quality sign-offs at the start of production orders. Proactively
identify and report non-conformances
or process issues to supervisors or managers to ensure rapid containment and resolution. Support continuous improvement efforts by collaborating with production staff and maintenance personnel on root cause analysis and preventive actions. Engage in ongoing
training to recognize quality issues
