Position Summary As a Samsung Austin Semiconductor Equipment Technician you'll be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.
Role and Responsibilities
Here\'s what you\'ll be responsible for: Preventative Maintenance (PM)/Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Follows standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/ processes/systems are running effectively. Troubleshooting: Conducts failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures. Monitor Equipment/Process: Monitors equipment and processes in current state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes. Working collaboratively on a dynamic team.
Skills and Qualifications
Here\'s what you\'ll need: Any 2-year technical certification (TTI, ITT, Trade Cert, HVAC, etc); 3+ ASE certs or 4 years Semiconductor Technician experience (no cert, passes test) or 4 years equivalent technical Military service Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation Experience with MS Word, Excel and Power Point Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to procedure changes also require Strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem solving skills Familiar with TPM concepts Attention to detail and task oriented and place high value on customer service, team work and flexibility Ability to strictly adhere to SOPs Ability to Work off-hours if necessary Electro-mechanical aptitude, Basic understanding of hand tools, pneumatics, and electricity All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor require you to be onsite. Night Shifts Include: B Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45pm – 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays D Shift – Wednesday through Friday (6:45pm – 7:15pm) with alternating Saturdays Total Rewards At Samsung SAS, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package. The base compensation for this role will depend on education, experience, skills, and location.
