Job Duties / General Requirements This position is synonymous with a “Journeyman” position in the trades. It requires 5 or more years of experience and mastery of piping and wet‑side HVAC applications. A Pipefitter III works unsupervised, repairing and replacing piping systems, pipe supports, and equipment for heating/cooling commercial and industrial applications. The role also includes equipment startups and check‑outs.
Job Responsibilities
In‑depth knowledge of wet‑side commercial applications and design.
Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain HVAC piping systems.
Repair and replace piping systems, pipe supports, and equipment for heating/cooling commercial and industrial applications.
Equipment start‑up and check‑out.
Document work by completing paperwork and backup documentation.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience.
Current journeyman license or ability to obtain one.
OSHA training and commitment to high safety standards.
Experience with blueprint reading and layout.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi‑task and maintain strong follow‑up both internally and externally.
Capacity to work in a physically demanding environment, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, lift, stand, and walk on uneven or confined terrain, and safely climb ladders.
