Job Description Inspect, diagnose, repairs, and maintains large construction and industrial machinery. This role ensures equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems on heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, backhoes, dump trucks, graders).

Repair or replace defective components (engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, hydraulics, cooling systems, electrical wiring, sensors).

Perform preventive maintenance: fluid changes, filter replacements, lubrication, torque checks, and alignment.

Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools, schematics, and on-board computer systems.

Conduct routine engine diagnostics, compression testing, and fuel system checks.

Maintain and repair attachments and implements (buckets, rippers, grapples, hammers).

Diagnose and repair hydraulic leaks, pump failures, and hose assemblies.

Replace or repair electrical components, control modules, wiring harnesses, and sensors.

Test run equipment after repairs; adjust and calibrate as needed.

Document all work orders, parts used, and time spent; maintain accurate maintenance records.

Adhere to safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA regulations.

Assist with equipment inspections and safety checks for fleet readiness.

Coordinate with supervisors on downtime planning and repair scheduling.

Recommend parts, tools, and service improvements to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
