Who we are looking for Re:Car is seeking an energetic, organized, and experienced
Senior Vehicle CFD Engineer
to join our growing team. This role involves performing CFD simulations to develop and optimize full vehicle aerodynamics.
What you will do The Senior CFD Engineer will utilize CFD tools to lead design efforts, assessing full vehicle aerodynamics using STAR CCM+. Responsibilities include creating and debugging full vehicle models with pre-processing tools like ANSA/HYPERMESH, performing CFD simulations, and correlating results with wind tunnel data. The role also involves optimizing designs using advanced methods such as DOE/DFSS, generating reports, and collaborating with design, manufacturing, and supplier teams to achieve aerodynamic goals.
What you bring
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; Master's or PhD preferred.
8+ years of experience in automotive aerodynamic CFD simulations.
Proficiency with STAR CCM+, ANSA, and HYPERWORKS.
Experience with steady state and transient CFD analyses.
Experience with model morphing using ANSA or HYPERMESH.
Experience correlating CFD results with wind tunnel data.
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
Ability to work independently from start to finish.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Team-oriented problem solver.
