Bridge Engineer
located in one of the following offices: North Kansas City, Springfield, St. Louis, Missouri, or Overland Park, KS. This position involves working with our engineers, designers, and technicians to provide technical expertise for successful project delivery. The
Bridge Engineer
will perform a range of design tasks from basic to complex, including designing bridge components, detailing for plan production, quantity calculation, report preparation, and site inspection. Responsibilities
Design and load rating of simple and/or continuous span prestressed bridges Design and load rating of simple and/or continuous span steel bridges Design of retaining walls and sign support structures Bridge repair/rehabilitation design Bridge inspection As experience is gained, responsibilities may lead to bridge lead or project management roles on transportation projects. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program 5 - 10 years of experience Registered Professional Engineer (PE) Strong communication skills Proficiency with MS Office Design and detailing experience with prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, and structural steel Experience with MicroStation, structural analysis, and design software Preferred Skills
Master's degree in civil engineering with structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited program Familiarity with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications Experience in planning and designing bridges Knowledge of MoDOT EPG, including design and plan preferences Grow With Us
