Journeyman Electrician role at

Responsibilities
Lead and perform installations, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment within the residential, commercial, and industrial electrical industry.
Proficient in troubleshooting and proactively solving electrical systems issues.
Read and interpret electrical construction drawings, shop drawings, ladder logic diagrams, and visualize completed work prior to installation.
Lead and assist in wire pulls (conduit, cable tray, floor ducts, wire way, etc.).
Plan, schedule, and organize tasks to meet deadlines; complete routine safety inspections of equipment and work areas.
Safely perform tasks with limited supervision; train Helpers and Apprentices in proper work practices.
Maintain tools, materials, and equipment; organize materials and tools to maintain a clean work area.
Position Requirements
Use Gaylor Values as tools to carry out all job responsibilities.
Understand and comply with company and job safety requirements (OSHA).
Follow lock out tag out procedures; possess or obtain certification to operate platforms and boom lifts where required.
Able to work at various heights up to 90 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, roofs, or other safe work areas.
Work from all assigned types of mobile elevated work platforms.
Able to bend and install all types of conduit; understand conduit bending degrees (e.g., concentric bending).
Able to use two-handed tools/equipment (cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jackhammers, etc.).
Able to erect pulley systems to lift/move heavy equipment; give hand signals to operators; understand various switching of branch circuits (3-way, 4-way, etc.).
Knowledge of circuit grounding practices, transformer connections, over-current protection, parallel circuits, fuses/circuit breakers, motors, cable trays and supports.
Knowledge of underground installations, soil effects, trench safety; awareness of other trades (concrete, masonry, metals, wood construction).
Plan and install conductors in conduits and raceways; install electrical devices and fixtures in a timely manner.
Work in restrictive/tight areas (switchgear rooms, crawl spaces, utility tunnels, attics, etc.).
Install switchgear and perform terminations; experience with terminations/splicing up to 600 volts; work with live energized parts.
Lead and assist in all types of wire pulls.
Read labels, maps, instructions; interpret blueprints and diagrams; understand NEC, state, and local codes; basic math; read tape measure; perform electrical formulas.
Takes pride in craftsmanship.
Education
High School graduate or equivalent, preferred
Experience
Accredited Apprenticeship Program completion or six years of on-the-job electrical experience.
Journeyman License requirement in states, locales, or projects, as required.
