The College of Education at Rowan University is searching for field supervisors with daytime availability to serve the Elementary Education program and Early Childhood Education program. This is a part-time per credit appointment. The candidate will supervise teacher candidates in schools, observe candidates and provide mentoring and feedback, and participate in service initiatives at the program, college, and university level. The appointment involves supervision of teacher candidates. The successful candidate will demonstrate a constructivist-based theoretical framework centered on a philosophy grounded in social justice. Required Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. Daytime, in-person availability to visit schools; please do not apply if only online work is possible. Occasional evening meetings with students for pre/post observation conferencing. Conduct 2 observations for candidates in two-day placements and 5 observations for candidates in five-day placements. Availability to visit schools across a specified geographic area. Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching in P-12 settings. Meets state licensure requirements for teachers, P-3 or K-6. Proactive in building positive relationships with candidates and teachers, with excellent scheduling and communication skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Commitment to fostering academic achievement, social and personal responsibility, and social justice. Dedication to collaboration, diversity, professional development, and respect for all. Commitment to working with P-12 schools. Teaching philosophy aligned with the mission of the College of Education. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with the Danielson Framework. Experience with performance assessment measures. Experience with online portfolio systems. Training in coaching and mentoring teachers. Ability to supervise in Atlantic, Cumberland, Mercer, Ocean, and Salem counties, with openness to other counties. The application must be submitted via our online system at:

Salary: In accordance with the State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act and current MOA, adjuncts are paid $1975 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits per academic year. Courses are assigned as needed. Adjuncts with 12+ semesters may receive an additional $75 per credit. A semester is Fall or Spring. Starting Date:
