Position Overview The Smith School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CBE) seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to join the NSF-sponsored Revolutionizing Engineering Departments (RED) grant team. The project aims to enable and study a cultural shift within the school toward a “living laboratory” ecosystem, promoting innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement in engineering education.

The postdoctoral associate will work directly with:

Target start date:

no later than June 1, 2026 , with preference for Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 start.

Responsibilities

Coordinate implementation of curriculum, assessment, and pedagogical changes with faculty

Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data on project impacts

Contribute to research reports, scholarly publications, and conference presentations

Assist in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students involved in the project

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Engineering Education, STEM Education, Engineering, or related field

Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods

Experience with human subjects research, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Salary Range $62,232 – $88,745, based on:

Relevant work/industry experience
