Physician - Interventional Cardiology - Marietta, GA
Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, Marietta, GA is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join our growing cardiology team. This is a full-time position with a Day shift focused on high-quality patient care, procedural excellence, and team collaboration. Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including angioplasty and stent placement. Interpret coronary angiograms and other invasive imaging studies. Participate in hospital call rotation for interventional cardiology. Provide comprehensive consultative cardiology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including cardiovascular surgeons, electrophysiologists, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in system-wide cardiology programs. Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC. Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship. Completion of an Interventional Cardiology fellowship. Board-certified or board-eligible in Interventional Cardiology. Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Georgia. Strong clinical and communication skills. Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based care. Preferred Qualifications
Peripheral vascular intervention experience is a plus but not required. Structural heart experience (e.g., TAVR, MitraClip) is welcomed but not required. Interest in clinical research or teaching is welcomed but not required. Why Join Wellstar Kennestone?
