The Lincoln Families School Engagement Program (SEP) helps chronically truant youth and their families address barriers to attending schools and support consistent attendance and engagement. SEP is a prevention program for youth with increased absences who are not yet identified as chronically truant or involved in SARB/PTC. SEP meets youth and families where they are—at home, school, or in the community. Staff deliver services to youth and families in a variety of ways.

Family Coaching – intensive case management, reconnecting families to communities, and developing skills and resources for self-sufficiency

Youth Counseling – increasing motivation, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and building trust with the school system

Resource Navigation – linking families to supports to reduce stressors and improve school outreach

Position Summary:

The Clinical Manager provides program/clinical leadership, direction, and budget oversight. Duties include supervision of clinical and case management services, ensuring a strengths-based, culturally responsive approach, coordinating referral processes and caseloads, and acting as liaison to Juvenile Justice and SARB processes.

Essential Functions

Recruitment, retention strategies, hiring, onboarding, training, supervision, and evaluation of clinicians and team members; includes weekly supervision with supervisees.

Participate in and observe program delivery and interface with program staff.

Ensure staff compliance with internal and external reporting and documentation requirements.

Monitor and support staff documentation for quality, productivity, and timeliness.

Monitor program finances according to guidelines and policies.

Develop systems for continuous quality improvement (CQI) across program, clinical, and case management functions.

Coordinate and conduct external/internal reviews for chart compliance and service quality.

Collaborate with outside providers and Lincoln agency staff to ensure SEP is integrated with other programs.

Participate in SEP and administrative meetings and represent the agency at events.

Provide safety policy instruction and ensure staff attend safety trainings; report hazards and injuries.

Provide supervision coverage as needed.

Travel to clients across Alameda and Contra Costa County for meetings and transportation to court appearances (California driver’s license, personal vehicle insurance, and satisfactory driving record required).

Position Requirements:

Passion for working with families with limited access to resources; ongoing cultural self-assessment; strength-based awareness of cultural and socioeconomic diversity. Knowledge of trauma-informed best practices and provider systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in a diverse multidisciplinary setting with experience in individual, group, and family therapy. Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Experience and Education

LCSW or MFT, licensed in California for two or more years

Two years of supervisory experience in flexible case management and clinical services

Experience with Medi-Cal documentation requirements

Experience with trauma-focused care

Must meet eligibility requirements to bill for Medi-Cal services
