About This Role
Agricultural Technician II Research at Kansas State University. This position provides essential support for the operation of production-scale farming (commodities of wheat, grain sorghum, silage, and hay) under the direction of a farmer. The Northwest Research-Extension Center farm production team handles common agronomic tasks in crop production, including pesticide application, tillage, planting, irrigation, and harvesting. This role is expected to be performed on-site 5 days/week with weekends varying during the growing season and harvest.

Perform agronomic tasks such as pesticide application, tillage, planting, irrigation, and harvesting.
What You039;ll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
BS degree preferred plus three years00s experience in large-scale farming operations.
Vocational training in the safe and proper use of pesticides is highly desirable.
Ability to drive large and small farm equipment safely and skillfully.
Valid driver00s license permitting operation of automobiles, pickup trucks, and farm trucks with standard or automatic transmissions.
Certified, or capable and willing to become certified in the application of restricted-use pesticides within the first 6 months of employment.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
