Critical Care Paramedic - LifeFlight Helipad Transport Team ($10,000 Sign-On Bonus) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center Location: Nashville, Tennessee Job Summary

The Paramedic 2 CC will work 3 12-hour shifts per week, rotating every 2 weeks. Both day and night shifts are available. Key Responsibilities

Plans and manages care according to LifeFlight and VUMC standards; independently plans, delivers, and evaluates goal-focused, individualized, safe, age-specific care for all patients within the scope of Tennessee and Vanderbilt Scope of Practice. Maintains clinical proficiency and competency per regulatory and accreditation requirements. Participates in self and program improvement activities and problem solving projects. Reviews current research and applies findings to evidence-based practice. Documents care accurately to reflect provided care and meets LifeFlight documentation standards. Communicates collaboratively to facilitate quality patient care and ensure safe handoff when care is transferred to the accepting facility. Medication Management (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of medication management in practical applications; capable of conducting medication management without required support. Assessing, Intervening & Stabilizing Patients (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery in assessing, intervening, and stabilizing patients; can train and guide others on the job. Airway Establishing (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery in airway establishment with ability to train others. Critical Thinking (Intermediate): Demonstrates sound reasoning and the ability to evaluate objections from alternative viewpoints. Ventilator Management (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of ventilator management with ability to train others. Allied health is among the fastest growing occupations in healthcare today.
