Radiologic Technologist (PRN Days) - Mammography

Under the direction of the Radiology Clinical Coordinator, this position operates mammography, radiographic, and bone density equipment safely and proficiently. The candidate must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. Registry with the American Registry of Radiologists (ARRT) is required. An advanced ARRT registry in Mammography is preferred. Responsibilities

Produce high-quality mammograms with minimal repeats. Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel. Participate in performance improvement initiatives. Assist with day-to-day operations of the department as needed. Perform various complex and routine mammography exams; assist with invasive procedures; troubleshoot equipment. Handle patient support equipment (e.g., IV pumps, oxygen tanks). Clean the room and equipment; order supplies; process images; provide basic patient care. CPR is required. Provide care appropriate to the age of patients served; understand growth and development over the life span and assess data to identify age-specific needs; follow the department's competency plan. Qualifications

Education: Vocational/Technical; 2-year Associate Degree (preferred). License/Certification: ARRT (required within 12 months of start date); BLS. Additional Details
