As a Speech Pathologist, you can help improve this ability for those managing diagnoses that affect speech, voice and swallowing across three local hospital sites. Alongside a passionate team of expertly trained physicians, surgeons and other caregivers, your efforts to assess, diagnose, treat and prevent these disorders ultimately enhances quality of life, treatment experience and motivation. Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and apply a wide variety of therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of functional limitations, impairments and disorders. Provide, interpret, plan and supervise patient evaluations and treatments in accordance with the physician referral, ensuring quality care, safety and wellbeing. Continually review the plan of care and make revisions as needed. Prepare progress reports on all treatments in conjunction with departmental policies and procedures and report to the physician as needed. Instruct and counsel medical staff and family members to assist the patient in treatment techniques. Perform voice evaluations, treatment of various voice disorders and bedside swallow evaluations. Demonstrate competency with the MBSs for adults and pediatrics. Follow Code Blue protocol as per Clinic policy. Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO. Qualifications

Masters, Doctorate or SLP‑D Degree from an accredited School of Speech‑Language Pathology Current Florida licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist (SP) from the State Board of Speech‑Language Pathology & Audiology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) by the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Personal Protective Equipment
