Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of an urgent care provider. Manage check-in and registration; interview patients; measure vital signs and record information on patient charts. Prepare treatment rooms for examination; may draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepare patients for examination and ensure a smooth patient flow. Perform opening and closing duties, process payments, schedule appointments, and coordinate referrals as needed. Stock supplies, maintain examination rooms and front desk areas, and ensure providers have necessary medical supplies. Maintain medical records and assist with chart scanning and documentation. Respond to patient questions and provide status updates; assist with daily operations and facility maintenance as required. Follow operating instructions for daily controls, calibration of equipment, and maintain QA/QC logs; submit repair tickets as needed. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma required; Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred. Work Experience: Medical Assistant experience preferred; Front Desk experience preferred. Licenses/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire (ARC or AHA). One of the following certifications required at time of hire: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA. In lieu of an approved MA Certification, the following are accepted at the time of hire: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing or LPN or RN; EMT; CNA. Essential skills: Basic medical assisting duties, fast and accurate data entry, proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, strong communication, detail-oriented, and respectful interaction with patients. Compensation and Benefits
Hourly rate: $17.50 – $25.50 per hour. Bonus eligible up to $600/month. Location and Availability
