The RN – Ambulatory/Outpatient ACS OR Nurse role supports specialty outpatient care in alignment with the organization’s values and mission.

Summary Provides direct patient care in a specialty unit, adhering to scope of practice, policies, and standards, while delivering deeper caring and smarter healthcare.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on assessment to optimize outcomes.

Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel.

Precept student nurses and new hires as needed.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support.

Evaluate learning needs of patients and families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
