Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice 2 Fridays per month. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting with various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and infection control practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to ensure a comfortable and efficient experience for our patients. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health. Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical histories. Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture necessary diagnostic images. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement aseptic techniques and infection control measures to ensure patient safety. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and general dentistry topics. Skills
Proficient in using Dentrix and Dexis software for patient management. Strong understanding of medical coding, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology. Excellent communication skills for effective patient care and education. Prior experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
