A school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Port Saint Lucie, FL, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract position spans the current school year, offering a focused role in supporting students communication and language development.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in K-12 students
Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
Provide direct therapy and progress monitoring aligned with school goals
Consult with teachers and staff to support students academic and social communication needs
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state regulations
Preferred Qualifications
Valid state licensure or certification as a speech-language pathologist
Experience working within a school setting, preferably with K-12 populations
Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based intervention strategies
Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and education staff
