Overview
Our hospital is seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Technician to help provide outstanding patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital. Location: Shepherd Spring Animal Hospital. Department: General Practice Hospitals. Responsibilities
Assist Veterinarians in the care of animals, including restraining when necessary during examinations. Stock examination and surgery rooms with supplies; sterilize tools and ensure equipment is in working order. Perform technical tasks such as venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia administration and monitoring, dental prophy, radiography, administering medications, and performing laboratory analyses. Provide client education and update patient files; communicate with pet owners effectively. Qualifications
Prior Customer Service Experience Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Current state licensure in good standing for Veterinary Technician roles Applicants with veterinary experience that are not Credentialed Veterinary Technicians are encouraged to still apply; opportunities for advancement include Lead Senior Veterinary Assistant, Veterinary Assistant, or other appropriate roles.
