Speech Language Pathologist in Steger, IL
An elementary school in Steger, IL is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to provide high-quality services during the current school year through May 29, 2026. This contract position offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., ensuring predictable hours with no additional duties such as bus duty or parent pickup outside of contracted times.
Key Qualifications
Valid certification as an SLP with CCC or CFY credentials
Experience working in school settings preferred
Proven ability to deliver both direct and indirect speech-language services
Strong organizational and communication skills
Flexibility to start ASAP
Primary Responsibilities
Provide individualized speech-language therapy to elementary students
Conduct evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reporting
Participate in team meetings as needed, within scheduled hours
