Assist in providing clinical care to office patients under supervision
Manage clinicians’ daily schedule and patient flow
Greet and escort patients to exam rooms
Obtain relevant information and vital signs
Input clinical information into electronic health records accurately
Assist with clinical procedures and tests, and inform patients about their visit
Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies and equipment
Administer routine injections under supervision and document accurately
Answer telephone calls timely and relay necessary information
Coordinate care when clinicians are unavailable
Resolve patient concerns as an advocate
Participate in meetings and trainings for continuous improvement
Stay current with community resources and healthcare system
Maintain patient confidentiality and rights
Provide clerical support such as scheduling, greeting, and paperwork
Float to other practices as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Assist in patient needs assessment and care coordination
Verify and implement clinician’s orders for testing and procedures
Provide patient and family education based on health promotion principles
Triages walk-in patients according to protocols
Collaborate with healthcare team for safe care transitions
Qualifications include being a graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program, licensed in Massachusetts, BLS certified, proficient with medical records and MS Office, with at least two years of clinical experience preferred
RN (x21a) - Education/Experience/Training
English communication skills
Graduate of an accredited nursing school
Licensed RN in Massachusetts
BLS certification
Proficiency with office technology and clinical applications
Preferred minimum two years of clinical experience
Position Purpose Provide high-quality clinical support under supervision, deliver excellent customer service, and demonstrate competence in clinical tasks in accordance with policies and procedures.
Schedule Details 24 hrs/week, Monday-Friday, 9a-5p, no weekends or holidays. Sign-on bonus eligible.
