GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision of the Program Director, provides therapeutic services to assigned caseload working with assigned Agency consumers and their families in the home and community, providing individual, family and group counseling activities, developing treatment goals, and working to develop positive relationships serving as a constructive role model and mentor.
Reporting Relationships
This position reports directly to the Team Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS (required At Time Of Offer)
Master’s in Social Work, or Master’s degree in human services field from an accredited college or university. Licensed or Limited License MSW Trauma focus training or willing to be trained Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills. Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Reliable transportation. Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, with “regular” business hours set by the Agency. Able to perform on-call services 24-hours per day, seven days per week to assist Agency consumers and/or provide crisis intervention as required. Prior experience with Microsoft Office and related applications or other IBM-compatible word processing program. Satisfaction of all employment eligibility and Agency hiring requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES (illustrative and not intended as inclusive; specific responsibilities may vary):
General
Provides therapeutic treatment and crisis therapeutic intervention for assigned consumers and/or families in home, office and in community settings as determined by specific program and/or contract. Recognizes and responses appropriately to the latent, as well as the manifest content of the consumer’s responses, and provides support and feedback regarding their therapeutic needs. Defines the needs or problems of assigned consumers and sets goals. Differentially determines appropriate interventions strategies with individual consumers and implements these accordingly. On a basis determined by program or contract specific requirements, evaluates effectiveness of interventions and alters intervention plans. Assesses consumers for appropriateness of group treatment and type of group intervention. Facilitating treatment groups that focus on issues directly related to the groups purpose using established and recognized methods which may include directive and nondirective group discussions, role play, group techniques, education and symbolic emotional behavioral expression. Attends, schedules, and participates in conferences and other meetings related to each assigned case (Court hearings, referring agency case conferences, IECP meetings, staffings, and others as may be required). Attends all meetings and trainings as required. Ensures accurate, professional, and timely completion of all required reports, logs, notes, and other paperwork as required by Program-specific procedures and/or the applicable contract terms. Ensures accurate, professional, and timely completion of all Agency-required reports, paperwork, and filings. Assist with internal training of staff and/or foster parents Performs other Agency-related duties as assigned.

Promotes a positive working environment within the Agency. Maintains professional and respectful demeanor with Agency employees, consumers, visitors, and the public. Actively participates in training, staff meetings, and Agency activities as required. Participates in special projects or additional assignments as required. Complies with the Agency’s Employment Policies & Procedures and Standards of Conduct. Maintains as confidential all matters related to Agency affairs and refrains from internal and external discussions related to any employee, consumer, financial, or administrative issue except as required as part of job performance.
