Take the lead: prioritizing, coordinating, and delegating all care touchpoints for your patients. Evaluate vital signs according to standards of care and monitor life support measures. Apply knowledge of complex patient conditions including psycho/social needs. Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone. Monitor and engage with patients, families, and the care team about significant events, changes in condition, or questions. Prevent and treat wounds. Monitor and comply with Joint Commission infection control and environment of care requirements. Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, and an exceptional patient experience. Collaborate with the nursing supervisor to identify and meet patient care needs and support timely, safe completion of tasks. Initiate patient and family education using appropriate resources and care continuum services. Contribute to the team by assisting others without being asked. Must-Haves / Qualifications
Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. Current American Heart Association BLS certification. Current ACLS and PALS certifications. Work Schedule
