Job Description
The Hardware Systems Technician will be responsible for assembling, validating, maintaining, and troubleshooting benchtop computer platforms in a lab environment. The role involves BIOS flashing, firmware updates, OS installation, CPU testing, inventory management, and coordination with the global logistics team for shipments. Responsibilities
Assemble and validate benchtop computer platforms in the lab. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with computer platforms as needed. Monitor, maintain, and assess system performance regularly. Flash BIOS versions, update firmware, and install operating system software. Conduct visual inspections and cleaning of CPUs. Test CPUs across multiple systems using proprietary test suites and log results in data capture tools. Manage hardware and CPU inventory in the lab. Handle documentation and communication with the Global Logistics team for incoming and outgoing shipments. Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in PC hardware assembly, operation, and debugging. Experience handling computer components in an ESD-safe environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) and issue tracking systems such as JIRA. Previous experience with inventory management. Previous experience testing CPUs. Previous experience working in an RMA team role. Qualification And Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
