Overview
Sacred Heart University invites applications from qualified candidates for a full-time, non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Biology.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate the potential for excellence in undergraduate biology teaching, particularly in foundational Biology courses for both majors and non-majors, and possess a strong appreciation for the mission of the University and its student-centered focus.
Responsibilities
Teach in the Concepts in Biology sequence for science majors and the Anatomy & Physiology sequence.
Potential to develop a foundational course in the candidate’s area of interest to offer to non-majors.
Qualifications
Advanced degree in Biology, Biological Anthropology, or a related field in the biological sciences (ABD considered).
PhD, significant teaching and post-doctoral experience preferred.
