LOCATION OF POSITION MDH Caroline County Health Department 403 S. 7th Street Denton, MD 21629
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB This position protects and promotes the health of Caroline County citizens by providing supervision and administrative oversight for the Coordination of Community Services Program for individuals with developmental disabilities in Caroline County and surrounding counties. This includes the management of all professional employees assigned to the program.
Responsibilities include: hiring of staff, initial and ongoing training of staff, monitoring and evaluating staff performance to ensure they perform their job duties in accordance with COMAR and Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience:
Two years of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.
NOTES
Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The desired candidate should possess the following:
Experience working with individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability, behavioral health or senior care
Experience working with electronic management records
Experience in customer service
