Overview

Pediatric Physical Therapist (Part Time) at The Kidz Club PPEC center (TKC Therapy). TKC Therapy provides high-quality and intensive PT, OT, and ST services to children attending The Kidz Club (TKC), a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center serving medically complex children from birth to under 21. Our expectation is for a PT with neurodevelopmental and DME experience to manage a diverse caseload, ranging from NICU-discharged infants to young adults in wheelchairs, across a wide age span and varying abilities. The role requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and comfort with medical terminology and processes. Responsibilities

Assess and diagnose developmental, congenital, neurological, and musculoskeletal disorders for the medical population, ages birth to 21. Develop individualized treatment plans following a comprehensive evaluation to address clients' strength and mobility difficulties. Utilize evidence-based practice in therapy sessions tailored to each client’s impairments, including: Therapeutic exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and endurance. Neuromuscular re-education techniques to enhance motor control and coordination. Manual therapy techniques to improve joint mobility and tissue flexibility. Gait training and balance activities to improve mobility and stability. Use of adaptive equipment or assistive devices to facilitate functional independence. Complete all documentation (evaluations, treatment notes, LMNs) in a timely, thorough manner. Supervision of PTAs when necessary. Provide education and guidance to clients, families, and caregivers on carry-over therapy at home. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow therapists to coordinate comprehensive care for clients. Stay current with advancements in the field through continuing education and professional development activities. Adhere to ethical and professional standards outlined by the APTA. Qualifications

Possession of a master's or doctorate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program and state licensure from the Florida Department of Health. Clinical experience working with the pediatric population (medical pediatric population strongly preferred). Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Proficiency using standardized assessment tools, therapeutic interventions, and assistive technologies relevant to the field. Commitment to maintaining professional competency and adhering to HIPAA policies and ethical standards. Current CPR (BLS) certificate. Benefits

Flexible schedule – start/end times and daily scheduling of patients are largely determined by the therapist, with productivity targets. We are open Saturdays for extra hours, but this is not required. Always Closed Nights, Sundays, and Major Holidays.
