Pay/Benefits at a Glance:

Pay range is between $33.69 and $43 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

What You Will Do:

Under administrative and clinical supervision (Mental Health Therapist I) or consultation and direction (Mental Health Therapist II), you will provide behavioral health clinical intervention and recovery services to assigned participants and their families; develop treatment plans; perform individual, group, and family therapy; conduct routine and emergency assessment, crisis intervention, and related treatment services; manage an assigned caseload of children, youth and/or young adult participants; provide consultation to other staff, programs, and agencies related to treatment needs and plans; and perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

Mental Health Therapist I: One (1) year of internship experience providing mental health services in a behavioral health, clinic, residential, school‑based, or community‑based setting for children, youth, or young adults.

Mental Health Therapist II: Two (2) years of post‑master’s experience providing professional mental health services in a behavioral health, clinic, residential, school‑based, or community‑based setting for children, youth, or young adults.

Licenses and Certifications:

Possession of a valid California Driver’s License, a satisfactory driving record, and a properly registered and insured vehicle, to be maintained throughout employment.

Mental Health Therapist I: Possession of a valid registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), to be maintained throughout employment. Some programs may consider candidates who are able to obtain registered status within the first six (6) months after hire.

Mental Health Therapist II: Possession of valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), to be maintained throughout employment.
